This Privacy Policy explains how Tibetan Calendar Norbu (“Norbu”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use:
– our mobile application “Tibetan Calendar Norbu” (the “App”),
– our website at https://tibetancalendar.com (the “Website”),
– and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

## 1. Who controls your data

Depending on the features you use, we may process the following categories of data.

– Google account email (when you sign in with Google),
– display name and avatar (if provided by your Google account and available to the app),
– date of birth and other profile data you enter in the App (including profiles you add for family/friends).
### 2.2 Calendar sync data (optional feature)
If you enable Google Calendar Sync, we may process:
– connected Google account email,
– calendar identifier used for synchronization,
– app-generated event metadata needed for sync (for example event id, category, date, title, color, sync flags),
– technical sync status metadata (last sync date/time, sync preferences).
### 2.3 Subscription and payments data
– product/subscription identifiers,
– entitlement and subscription state (active/cancelled/expired, renewal metadata),
– transaction metadata required to provide premium access.
Important: payments are processed by app stores and payment providers. We do not store full payment card number or CVV in the App.
### 2.4 Technical, analytics, and diagnostics data
– device and app metadata (app version, OS, device type),
– interaction events within the App,
– performance/crash diagnostics,
– anti-fraud and abuse-prevention signals.
## 3. Google Calendar API data use
When you explicitly enable Google Calendar Sync, we request this scope:
– https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar
We use this access only to provide the sync feature, including:
– creating a sync calendar (or using the selected sync calendar),
– creating horoscope sync events,
– updating existing sync events to keep data up to date and avoid duplicates,
– deleting sync events or app-created sync calendar when you disable sync or request deletion.
We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising.
We do not sell Google user data.
We do not use Google API data to train generalized AI/ML models.
Tibetan Calendar Norbu’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
## 4. Why we process data
We process data to:
– provide core app functionality (horoscope calculations, profiles, calendar views),
– provide premium features and subscription access,
– provide optional Google Calendar Sync,
– ensure security, prevent abuse/fraud, and debug issues,
– analyze app quality and improve product experience,
– comply with legal obligations.
## 5. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your location, legal bases may include:
– performance of a contract (providing requested Service features),
– your consent (for optional features such as Google Calendar Sync),
– legitimate interests (service security, diagnostics, product improvement),
– compliance with legal obligations.
## 6. How long we retain data
We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, including legal/accounting/security obligations.
For Google Calendar Sync:
– local sync settings are stored while sync is active,
– if you disable sync and delete app-created calendar/events from the App, local sync state is cleared,
– backups and logs may persist for limited periods required for reliability and security.

We may share data with service providers acting on our behalf for:
– authentication and identity services,
– subscription and payment infrastructure,
– analytics and attribution,
– crash reporting and diagnostics,
– cloud hosting and infrastructure.
Examples of tools/services used by the App may include:
– Google services (including Sign-In and Calendar API),
– app store billing systems,
– analytics/attribution and crash reporting platforms.
We may also disclose data:
– if required by law or valid legal request,
– to protect rights, security, and integrity of users and Service,
– in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
